How to Apply

Important Notes Regarding Admission to the University of Science and Culture

  1. The applicant’s passport must be valid for at least 1 year; otherwise, please renew it before submitting your admission application.
  2. Documents must be scanned and sent in high quality. Applicants can upload their documents through the International Student Admission System at admission.usc.ac.ir or send their document folder in a zip file via email. Documents that are not of sufficient quality will not be reviewed.
  3. Bachelor’s degree applicants can choose three programs from those offered at the University of Science and Culture in order of priority. The outcome of the admission application will be communicated to applicants based on their GPA and transcripts through the preliminary admission certificate.
  4. The process of obtaining the necessary permits, provided there are no systemic issues in the relevant government organizations, takes a minimum of 20 working days, and obtaining a student visa takes at least 3 working weeks.
  5. The student visa will be issued to accepted students no later than 1 month before the start of the academic semester.
  6. Students are required to visit the university for registration during the time period that will be announced later; otherwise, registration will not be conducted under any circumstances.
  7. The fee for processing each non-Iranian applicant’s admission file is 10,000,000 rials (1 million tomans), which will be deducted from the final tuition fee upon final acceptance.
  8. The processing fee can be paid through card number 6104337770070389 in the name of the non-governmental non-profit University of Science and Culture.
  9. Besides the processing fee, the university will not charge any other fees from students before registration.
  10. Applicants who have previously studied at universities in Iran can apply to another university after one year of withdrawing from their previous institution.
  11. All classes at the University of Science and Culture are conducted in person.
  12. Applicants cannot be enrolled in other universities simultaneously.
  13. Applicants for admission to the Computer Engineering program at all levels must have a GPA of A or B.

Note: If the GPA requirement for admission to the Computer Engineering program is not met, applicants may also apply for admission to this program by submitting a relevant work resume and certificates of related courses.

  • Graduates from unofficial centers and schools, will not be accepted at this university.
  • When filling out the required admission forms, please ensure that all information is complete and accurate.
  • If there are any discrepancies regarding documents or personal information, such as name, surname, father’s name, marital status, number of children, and also in cases of low-quality documents, the admission process will be halted.

 

Required Documents for Undergraduate Applicants

  1. A personal photo with dimensions H=600 and W=400 (must be less than 50 KB and more than 100 KB).
  2. The first page of the passport with a minimum validity of one year, sized H=600 and W=800 (must be less than 50 KB and more than 100 KB).
  3. A copy of the payment receipt for the application processing fee of 1 million tomans.
  4. Original high school diploma (Certificate) / Diploma Certificate (for Afghan applicants, with the seal of the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and one of the Iranian consulates).
  5. Original high school transcript.
  6. Completion of the visa application file, accurate completion of the student information form, and a signed copy of the “Conditions for Admission of Non-Iranian Non-Scholarship Students at the University of Science and Culture” form.
  7. Submission of the Saorg code is mandatory; the educational documents of the esteemed applicants must have the official seal of the educational institutions, as well as the seal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the applicant’s country and one of the official representations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
  8. The files related to the documents should be organized under specific names for each document, such as “High School Certificate,” “Undergraduate Transcript,” and submitted in a zip file named after the applicant.

 

Required Documents for Master’s Degree Applicants

  1. A personal photo with dimensions H=600 and W=400 (must be less than 50 KB and more than 100 KB).
  2. The first page of the passport with a minimum validity of one year, sized H=600 and W=800 (must be less than 50 KB and more than 100 KB).
  3. A copy of the payment receipt for the application processing fee of 1 million tomans.
  4. Original high school diploma (Certificate) / Diploma Certificate (for Afghan applicants, with the seal of the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and one of the Iranian consulates).
  5. Original high school transcript.
  6. Original bachelor’s degree certificate (BA and BS Certificate).
  7. Original bachelor’s degree transcript (BA and BS Transcript).
  8. If necessary, an in-person or online interview may be required.
  9. Accurate completion of the visa application form, accurate completion of the student information form, and a signed copy of the “Conditions for Admission of Non-Iranian Non-Scholarship Students at the University of Science and Culture” form.
  10. Submission of the Saorg code is mandatory; the educational documents of the esteemed applicants must have the official seal of the educational institutions, as well as the seal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the applicant’s country and one of the official representations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Otherwise, the applicant’s Saorg code will not be validated.
  11. The files related to the documents should be organized under specific names for each document, such as “High School Certificate,” “Undergraduate Transcript,” and submitted in a zip file named after the applicant.

 

Required Documents for PhD Applicants

  1. Personal photo with dimensions H=600 and W=400 (must be less than 50 KB and more than 100 KB).
  2. First page of the passport with a minimum validity of one year, sized H=600 and W=800 (must be less than 50 KB and more than 100 KB).
  3. A copy of the payment receipt for the application review fee of one million Tomans.
  4. Original high school diploma (certificate) / Diploma Certificate (for Afghan nationals with approval stamps from the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and one of the Iranian consulates).
  5. Original high school transcript.
  6. Original bachelor’s degree certificate (BA and BS Certificate).
  7. Original bachelor’s degree transcript (BA and BS Transcript).
  8. Original master’s degree certificate (MA and MSc Certificate).
  9. Original master’s degree transcript (MA and MSc Transcript).
  10. CV (curriculum vitae).
  11. Academic resume (including articles, research projects, books, etc.).
  12. Valid English language proficiency certificate such as IELTS.
  13. Conduct an in-person or online interview.
  14. Correctly complete the visa application form, the student information form, and the signed version of the “Conditions for Admission of Non-Iranian, Non-Scholarship Students at the University of Science and Culture.”
  15. Submit the Saorg code.
  16. It is mandatory that the educational documents of the esteemed applicants bear not only the official stamp of the educational institutions but also the stamp of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the applicant’s home country and one of the official representations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
  17. Files related to the documents should be named specifically for each document, for example, “High School Certificate,” “Bachelor’s Transcript,” and submitted in a zip file named after the applicant.

 

Important Notes Regarding the Educational Documents of Admission Applicants

  1. Students who obtained their previous degree from Iran are required to study the guidelines for requesting educational verification and take action to obtain their verification in due course.
  2. If the original educational document is in a language other than Persian, it must be submitted to the university along with an official Persian translation.
  3. The diploma issued by Afghanistan must bear the approval stamp of the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan, and one of the official representations of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Afghanistan.
  4. The bachelor’s and master’s degrees must also bear the stamp of the issuing university, the stamp of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the applicant’s home country, and the stamp of the official representations of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

 

How to Apply

To send you application, you have to Register in the system. If you registered before, you can Login to the system and send your application.

Please consider the following items:

  1. Please prepare your required documents in advance (passport size photo, copy of your passport, copy of your certificates and transcripts (starting from High school). Also download the registration and visa form from here, complete and save it. 
  2. Please note that the maximum size for each file is 2MB and the total size of your documents should be below 10MB. 
  3. The application submission has 10 steps. Complete all required fields in each step.
  4. The system save all steps, so if you lost your connection or your submission is not complete, you can continue previous application.
  5. Please avoid sending multiple applications. 
  6. You will get a confirmation email, after submitting your application. If you do not receive the confirmation email, check your application and make sure that it is submitted.
  7. You will be informed about any change in status of your application by email.
